Update 02/14/2014: The official announcement.

This news caught me completely off-guard. I’m not sure whether Dennis’ departure was announced as part of the Lenovo acquisition and I just missed it, or whether this is a recent development. Either way, it actually gives me pause about my previous thoughts regarding the acquisition. I am concerned that if all of the Google guys start jumping ship that, for better or worse, Motorola is not going to look and act like the same organization that it’s been for the past 2 years.
